"Pasture-Raised in Your Community – Local Eggs from Pasture Valley Hens."
Pasture Valley Hens is the realisation of our family’s dream — to provide delicious, nutritious eggs while honouring the land and animals that sustain us.
Nestled in the heart of sunny regional Queensland, our farm is home to hens that roam freely across scenic pastures, protected by our beloved rescued Maremma dogs.
We proudly adopt our guardians from rescue centres, giving them a second chance and a purposeful life.
Together, our hens and Maremmas thrive on land cared for using regenerative and sustainable farming practices, creating a balanced, healthy ecosystem.
Every egg we collect is a reflection of our values: animal welfare, environmental care, and nourishing our local community.

Our Land
At Pasture Valley Hens, our primary focus is on land stewardship through the principles of regenerative agriculture. We farm in a way that restores and enriches the soil — working with nature, not against it.
By minimising chemical use, we protect vital microbial life beneath the surface. We grow a rich variety of pasture species to boost biodiversity, and we manage our hens in harmony with natural cycles — allowing their movement to fertilise the land, encourage plant growth, and build organic matter over time.
This thoughtful approach leads to healthier soil, thriving ecosystems, and nutrient-rich eggs that truly reflect the goodness of the land they come from.

Our approach to animal care reflects our deep commitment to sustainability and ethical farming.
At Pasture Valley Hens, our girls and Maremma's roam freely across soft grasses, a thoughtfully managed mix of native and improved pastures. Through regular rotation, we not only preserve soil health and natural ground cover but also support the well-being of local flora and fauna that call our land home.
We’re proud to farm in a way that nurtures the entire ecosystem — from the hens to the grasses, to the wild birds, insects, and native species that thrive alongside us.
Our hens are fed a diet free from hormones and antibiotics, and they live in a calm, natural environment designed to promote health and vitality.
The result? Eggs that are as nutritious as they are delicious — produced in true harmony with nature.

Our Hens
At Pasture Valley Hens, we choose heritage breed hens because they’re calm, resilient, and lay the most beautiful eggs with golden yolks and rich flavour.
They spend their days out on open grasslands, pecking, scratching, and doing what hens love to do. They’re a curious bunch too — always popping over to see what we’re up to, especially if we’ve got a bucket in hand! or laying an egg in the tractor, running around with a grasshopper in the beak!
At night, you’ll often find them snuggling up close to our rescue Maremma's, their gentle guardians and lifelong companions. It’s a peaceful life, built on trust and care.
We raise our hens slowly and naturally, without hormones or antibiotics, and we farm in a way that’s kind to the land. It’s all part of our commitment to doing things properly — for the animals, the soil, and the people who enjoy our eggs.
